The Institute of Surgical Arts is fully accredited by the Institute of Medical Quality (IMQ). “IMQ’s Ambulatory Program is designed to promote quality care and assure compliance with government regulations. The standards, developed by California physicians practicing in the ambulatory setting, meet the specific needs of California facilities. The essential standards for Administration, Personnel/Credentialing, Quality Management, Medical Records, Care and Treatment and Surgical, Invasive Procedures and Anesthesia Services ensure compliance with California Health and Safety Code 1248 (AB 595) and other California laws and regulations. In addition, the physicians also examined existing standards and community practice to ensure appropriateness in developing the standards.

The program provides California facilities and physicians the opportunity to be reviewed by peers who are familiar with issues specific to California medical practices. On site educational consultation and assistance are offered throughout the accreditation process. Accreditation by IMQ is recognized by many liability carriers, workers’ compensation and insurers as well as the Medical Board of California.”
